The Upper Green River Fishing Report is she’s holding steady, thankfully! Sorry for the hiatus from reporting on fishing conditions but we’ve ALL been working as hard as humanly possible since mid June sharing the goods with all of our clients. I’d say the hatches this season, so far, have been as prolific as it can get, thanks in part to the steady and consistent flows and cool water temps. We’ve had so many afternoon and evening thunderstorms the past few weeks I’m encouraged that the August fishing will remain consistent. That being said, on the bright sunny days get out early for the best opportunity and on the cloudy and cool days we’ve seen the dry fly bite last through the better part of the day and the evenings have been epic. The bite is still PMDs, BWOs, Caddis, Yellow Sallies, Mahoganies, Tricos and add the terrestrial entourage on the hot and sunny days! Add a dropper to the hopper as well come mid afternoon to keep the bite rolling. For those who can pick pockets the streamer bite has been highly productive as well.
