The float from the public ramp to the private access ramp is 11 miles, which allows you to enjoy your day and take your time fishing. If there’s anyone else floating from there that day they have to make 21 miles in one day, which means they’re flying down river. We rarely, if ever, see anyone else on this stretch of river. When you start at the private ramp the float to the next ramp, which is public, is 9 miles. Starting here means more than likely you’ll not see anyone all day long. Out of every stretch of river with quality and consistent action within 200 miles of this area, this water provides the best possible experience one could ever dream about.

The ranch owners ask for a trespass fee, per boat, which is $300 per day and is well worth every penny. The golden stone, grey drake, trico and hopper hatches here are legendary. If you’re looking for pristine habitat, hungry trout, lots of wildlife and getting away from the crowds, then this trip is just what the doctor ordered! We predominately see about 80 % Brown Trout, 10% Rainbows and 10% Cutties, on these stretches with the average fish being 18 inches and very feisty.
