Fontenelle Wyoming Fishing Report
The Fontenelle Wyoming fishing report is the nymphing continues to be the ticket presently, especially during the mid day timeframe. The fish are really keyed in on the midges but we’re seeing lots of baetis nymphs that are about to mature any day now. Look for the best dry fly action in mid to late afternoon and as the water continues to warm up the streamer bite should continue to get more consistent throughout the day. The fish are moving up into the riffles to feed around noon to 1pm, depending on the daily temps and then drop back into the tailouts as the midges become spent.
The Bureau of Reclamation has tentatively given their release flows from the Fontenelle Dam over the next few months, but please consider that these may change and probably will with the wacky warm spell we’re currently experiencing.
